Junior Rider Chelsea Reed wins the USPRE Award at the Lendon Youth Dressage Festival Midwest
Chelsea Reed, and her chestnut stallion, Lentisco, were the winners of the 2011 USPRE Award at the inaugural Lendon Youth Dressage Festival Midwest in Fruitport, Michigan.
Chelsea, daughter of Tom and Megan Reed of Groveland Florida and Medieval Times fame, represented the PRE Breed in top form all weekend with two PRE horses. She was selected from a field of applicants to take part in the Emerging Dressage Athlete Program Section A Clinic, held on Friday and Saturday and taught by Lendon Gray and Courtney King-Dye, with her Kabileno, a 1999 FEI-level PRE stallion owned by Mary Adams and Tom Reed. On Kabi, Chelsea was Division One Champion in the Festival. With Lentisco, she was Reserve Division Champion as well as the Reserve Champion of the entire Festival in addition to the USPRE Champion. Lenny, owned by Hampton Green Farm, is training for Third Level.
