2014 High Point Florida Series Concludes

The USPRE Florida High Point Series wrapped up last month with some new faces and horses, in addition to our regulars.

At the Palm Beach Derby, the PRE High Point award was presented at the final awards ceremony, along with breed awards from other associations according to long-standing tradition at the Derby. The winners were Janne Rumbough and her Junior in the CDI category with 62.360 in the Grand Prix. Nicholas Fyffe and Faisan AT, owned by Allison Tait, captured the National Level High Point with 68.286 at Fourth Level. National Dressage Team coach Robert Dover accepted the award on behalf of Nicholas.

The final round of High Point competition was held at the GDF 5*, the final show of the 12 week GDF series. There were quite a few PREs competing that weekend (including two for the Mexican national team who were in town to train). Our winners were: Kerrigan Gluch on Lentisco XVIII, owned by Hampton Green Farm, who took both the Youth and CDI category with 65.9 in the International Junior Individual Test; and Adult Amateur Mary Austin Modic and her own Lan Fandango, who scored 68.57 at Fourth Level. Nicholas Fyffe and Faisan AT again took the Open National Level distinction with 68.85 at Fourth Level.

All scores from all participants in the series will be tabulated to determine the Florida Series Grand Champions, to be announced shortly.
